As CEO of BWW Mind it was a privilege to join the reception on Wednesday 27 June, an event to salute our forces  hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Lindsey Hall. Meeting up with serving women and men, including young cadets was both interesting and enjoyable and I learnt more about the Armed Forces Covenant, from meeting up with Charity colleagues and it was good to talk about the training programme delivered by us in BWW Mind to raise awareness of mental health within the Forces community. To date 106 people have participated in the training programme, tackling pre-conceptions about mental health and equipping staff to have more informed conversations with people who may be experiencing distress.

Of course meeting up with serving women and men underlined their strength and resilience and the great work they do in supporting the wider communities of Westminster. I am already thinking about how we can join future remembrance and celebratory events throughout this year and further support the Covenant. A final note of thanks to the Covenant Fund for financially supporting the training programme.
