Every year, mental health support organisations around the world celebrate #WorldMentalHealthDay on 10th October. World Mental Health Day is an important day in our calendar, where we campaign to raise awareness of mental wellbeing in our community, and work to break stigma and empower those experiencing a mental health difficulty. On Monday 24 September, 30 of our Wandsworth service users met to soak up the sunshine of a crisp autumn morning and to take part in a mindfulness walk in King George’s Park,  designed to improve physical and mental wellbeing. The walk was organised in partnership with Enable Sport and Leisure (Wandsworth), as part of the European Week of Sport in partnership with ukactive initiative to get people more active.

Mind in Wandsworth held their bi-monthly Wellbeing day on the 1st August 2018.  The theme of the day was “Connectivity”, bringing people together with workshops on art, horticulture, tai chi and eating together with a healthy and nutritious menu to enable and encourage individuals to learn about healthy eating choices.
