Do something amazing!
Take on your very own ‘My Mind Marathon’ and help make sure those experiencing a mental health problem get the support they need. Whether it’s a half, full or ultra-marathon distance, and whether you want to do it in one day or three weeks, dig out those trainers and get walking, running or cycling for Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster.
How to get involved
Register onto ‘My Mind Marathon’ and we will send you everything you need to get started. You can track your distance on a Just Giving page or on the print-out tracker we will send to you in your welcome email.
Why support us?
In our three boroughs alone we estimate that in an average year over 250,000 people live with mental illness. During lockdown, these figures have been shown to double to 500,000. This is a mental health crisis. Taking part in ‘My Mind Marathon’ could not only help improve your own mental health through regular exercise, being sponsored will help us to provide more services like our community and creative therapies, which are so important right now.
Half, Full or Ultra Marathon?
- Half Marathon (13miles) The approx. distance from the top of Brent to the bottom of Wandsworth
- Full Marathon (26 miles) The approx. distance from the top of Brent to the bottom of Wandsworth… and back again!
- Ultra Marathon (53 miles) The approx. distance travelling around Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster.
Complete your chosen distance on your chosen route (please stick to the latest social distancing rules).
You can break down the miles to complete over the month or do it all in one go. If these distances don’t suit you, please feel free to pick a distance you prefer. The most important thing is getting involved and making a difference!
