How We Can Help

Recovery Support and Wellbeing Activities

We provide person-centred recovery support as well as a range of popular activities, groups and programmes throughout the week  at our Tooting hub.

We work in partnership with our service users, volunteers, the council, health services, other providers and organisations to provide a menu of services and activities to support wellbeing including:

  • Health Training and Expert Patient Programmes
  • Relaxation, Mindfulness, Drama and Movement
  • Self-help and Therapeutic Workshops
  • Arts and Crafts, Photography, Music Appreciation, Creative Writing, Patchwork and Quilting
  • IT Training, Cookery Courses, Conversational Language Classes
  • Advocacy and Service User Participation

Unusual Perceptions Groups

We run regular friendly self-help groups in our Tooting Hub and at Springfield Hospital for anyone who experiences unusual perceptions or beliefs or who hears voices, has visions or has done so in the past.

All Unusual Perceptions Groups are centred around the needs and aspirations of their members, offering a safe supportive space for people to talk about their experiences, exchange ideas and share ways of reducing distress, gaining control and coping better.

The Wednesday Club

The Wednesday Club is an evening social group offering a programme of regular structured activities, social events, meetings and group meals throughout the year with additional monthly Saturday outings which we run in partnership with other local community organisations.

The club runs from 4pm – 8.30pm every Wednesday and generally takes place or starts off from the Tooting hub. Its main purpose is to provide social engagement, connection and support for people but also to foster peer support and service user participation.

Out and About Group

The Out and About Group facilitates regular outings and trips for people using our Recovery Support services.  Service users, staff and volunteers work together to plan and promote the schedule.

Trips for 2018 are as follows:

  • 7 December – Tower Bridge and Design Museum
  • 21 December – Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park
