How We Can Help

Providing Better Opportunities, Building Skills, Developing Confidence

We provide support for people in Wandsworth, who have had experience of mental health problems, to find and engage in paid work, voluntary work, education or training, or any meaningful activity that improves their quality of life.

Who is it For?

These are free services that can be accessed by anyone with mild, moderate or severe mental health problems who wants support to gain employment. Anyone can apply directly or be referred by their GP, social worker, care coordinator or another mental health professional.

We will require further information about your needs to ensure that the services are safe and suitable. This will usually include a risk assessment to be completed by a professional who knows you.

BEST in Wandsworth

Anyone who wants to use our BEST service will take part in an initial assessment with a Community Programmes Co-ordinator to identify his or her goals, and together will start making a plan to achieve them. We provide one to one advice and guidance and a range of workshops, training sessions and support groups including CV workshops, job and volunteering search, confidence building, communication and presentation development, peer support groups as well as signposting/referral to appropriate support services where necessary.

We will continue to offer regular phone, digital support and progress review and to promote useful events and activities including Mind’s Hub activities and workshops as required.

Our service is available Monday – Friday, 9am -5pm Monday and is located at our Wellbeing Hub in Tooting.
