A specialist CYP service in Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster

This service provides support to schools in the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster that do not have  Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provision. The support is delivered in two parts, through psychoeducational workshops and through art therapy. For any queries about the service, please contact [email protected].

In collaboration with our colleagues in the bi-borough Education Psychology department, we deliver tailor-made psychoeducational workshops designed to be interactive and accessible to children and young people with SEND (special educational needs and disability) .

The workshops are intended to increase awareness of mental health needs and support children and young people through a period of transition and change.

If you’re a SENCO (Special educational needs coordinator), you can join our reflective practice group! The group aims to support you in your crucial role by promoting wellbeing, , developing new insights, and connecting with your creative energies in a sharing environment. Read more here.

Art Therapy

We deliver 1:1 and group art therapy for children and young people in specialist provision education. Art therapy supports children and young people with SEND by helping with their social, emotional and psychological development. Through customised interventions, our goal is to establish a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their creativity, express themselves and cultivate essential skills for personal growth. The therapeutic potential of art provides a different way to express thoughts and feelings when words can be difficult to find.  By building self-esteem, self-expression and resilience, art therapy contributes to the overall wellbeing and development of  children and young people.
