This service provides 1:1 work with families in their homes, all of the primary schools in our Westminster Offer and three family hubs: Queens Park Children’s Centre, Bessborough Family Hub and Portman Early Childhood Centre.

  • We support parents concerned about their children’s feelings of overwhelm, frustration, behavioural difficulties, tantrums, and difficulty following routines
  • Parents and carers of children between the ages of 0-5 can use the service to improve their relationships with their children, learn more about child development, learn parenting skills, and know what behaviours are normal for children through 1:1 support in the family hubs/primary schools, or over teams video calls

VIDEO-feedback Intervention to promote Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline (ViPP-SD)

Your practitioner will have regular supervision with their clinical supervisor, to discuss their work. In order to help the quality of their supervision, they are asking for your permission to video-record your sessions. They may show part(s) of the session to their supervisor in order to talk about ways of working that might be helpful to you/your child. This enables them to develop their skills as a practitioner and attend to your/your child’s therapeutic needs. No-one else would have access to the video. The video would also be available for you to watch the session again, should you wish to. Please read the following paragraphs and, if you are in agreement, tick the box to indicate this.
I understand that my practitioner will check at the start of each session if this is still okay and will ask for my verbal consent on each tape as well.
